Manual Fire Monitor
What is a FIRE MONITOR
Understanding Fire Monitors: High-Performance Water Cannons for Fire Safety
A fire monitor—often referred to as a fire water cannon—is a high-capacity, heavy-duty water or foam jet device designed to deliver massive volumes of fire suppressant over long distances. Unlike standard hand-held fire hoses, which require manual restraint by several firefighters, fire monitors are mounted on fixed structures, mobile trailers, or fire trucks to safely tackle large-scale, high-intensity blazes.
How Do Fire Monitors Work?
Fire monitors operate by channeling pressurized water or fire-fighting foam through a specialized nozzle. They can discharge hundreds to thousands of gallons per minute (GPM), creating either a solid stream for long-range impact or a wide fog pattern for thermal cooling and vapor suppression
Where Are They Used?
Due to their powerful reach and high flow rates, fire monitors are essential safety assets in critical infrastructure, including:
Oil refineries, fuel storage tank farms, and petrochemical plants
Marine vessels, docks, and offshore oil platforms
High-ceiling warehouses, logistics centers, and aircraft hangars
Recycling facilities and waste management plants
By providing continuous, high-volume fire suppression while keeping operators at a safe distance, fire monitors play a vital role in protecting life, critical infrastructure, and high-value assets worldwide.
Manual Fire Monitor
Fire monitors are made of stainless steel and are widely used in refineries, chemical plants, hangars, fire trucks, fire boats and other places. They are corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant, providing reliable protection for fire fighting and emergency rescue.

The monitor can be arrested in any horizontal or vertical position
The control system of the fixed fire monitor offers a variety of control methods, including wireless remote control, wired remote electric control, and emergency handwheel control of the fire cannon. These options allow fire personnel to operate the monitor from a safe distance, significantly improving safety. Additionally, the rotating part of the fixed fire cannon is driven by a motor. The horizontal rotation and tilt control mechanisms allow for self-locking at any position, ensuring flexible and stable operation.
The Use of Fire Monitors
The fixed fire monitor is primarily used in industries such as chemicals, power generation, metallurgy, woodworking, textiles, rubber, oil depots, tank farms, freight terminals, storage logistics, and other similar environments. In these settings, the fixed fire monitor demonstrates its powerful fire extinguishing capabilities and flexible spray control, effectively responding to various fire situations. Furthermore, since its key components are explosion-proof, it offers strong explosion resistance and chemical resistance, further ensuring safe operation.
