Products Description
Overview
Foinbo® solenoid‑actuated deluge valve is a diaphragm‑type deluge valve whose main valve is triggered electrically by a solenoid trip valve. It is the most common electric‑release control valve for deluge sprinkler systems and foam‑water deluge systems.
During normal standby status, the downstream piping is completely dry (no water) and fitted with open‑type sprinkler nozzles. Pressurized water fills the valve's priming / control chamber. This pressure acting on the diaphragm keeps the main deluge valve tightly closed and holds back water supply pressure.

FAQ
Q: Can the solenoid‑actuated deluge valve open partially?
No. It is an on‑off diaphragm valve. Once triggered, it opens fully for full‑flow discharge; partial throttling is not designed for this valve.
Q: What causes unwanted accidental opening of deluge valve?
Common root causes:
‑ Surge water pressure impacts pilot chamber.
‑ Electrical mis‑signal energizes solenoid by mistake.
‑ Manual release station is accidentally pulled.
‑ Debris contaminates pilot solenoid valve seat.
Q: What causes the valve fails to open upon solenoid signal?
‑ No power supply to solenoid coil; coil burnt.
‑ Blocked drain outlet of pilot circuit.
‑ Foreign particles stuck inside pilot solenoid valve.
‑ Incorrect inlet water pressure outside operating range.
