Fire Alarm Check Valve

Foinbo ®  Fire Alarm Check Valve (ACV) is a specialized hydraulic device designed to integrate water flow control with emergency signaling in automatic sprinkler systems. As a unidirectional valve, it ensures water flows exclusively from the supply line to the sprinkler network while preventing reverse flow, which could destabilize system pressure or cause water hammer. Its dual functionality-simultaneously managing hydraulic flow and activating alarms-makes it indispensable for rapid fire detection and suppression.

Foinbo ® Fire Alarm Check Valve operates through a pressure-activated diaphragm or piston mechanism. In standby mode, the valve remains closed, maintaining system readiness. When a sprinkler head activates due to elevated temperatures, water flows into the valve at a preset rate (typically equivalent to one or more sprinklers). This flow generates a pressure differential across the diaphragm, forcing it open and allowing water to reach the affected zone. Simultaneously, the valve triggers auxiliary components such as pressure switches or water motor gongs, which transmit electrical or acoustic alarms to monitoring centers.
