The working principle of fire monitor mainly includes the following key steps:
Water supply: Fire monitors are usually connected to a water source system or water pump to obtain water. The water source can be a natural water source, such as a reservoir or a river, or a city water supply system.
Water flow control: By controlling valves, nozzles and pipe systems, the direction and intensity of the water flow are adjusted to ensure that the water flow can be accurately sprayed to the fire scene.
Pressure generation: The water pump or water source system provides sufficient water pressure for the fire monitor. The size of the water pressure depends on the size of the fire and the design of the fire monitor.
Jet impulse: When the water flows through the nozzle, it will be ejected at a high speed, generating an impact force. The size of the impact force depends on the speed of the water flow and the nozzle design.
Differences in the working principles of different types of fire monitors
Hydraulic self-swinging fire monitor: This type of fire monitor relies on the power of the water flow to achieve automatic swinging. When the water source passes through the fire monitor, the impact force and kinetic energy generated by the water flow will drive the mechanical structure inside the water monitor to swing. The hydraulic self-swinging cannon adjusts the direction and speed of the water flow to achieve swinging and water shooting. The self-swinging angle is usually between ±20° and ±45°.
Electrically controlled self-swinging fire water cannon: This type of fire cannon relies on the rotation of the electric drive motor to control the water cannon to rotate horizontally and vertically. The electrically controlled self-swinging cannon can achieve 360° horizontal rotation and 165° vertical rotation, and the horizontal and vertical swing angles can be adjusted through the background parameters. The control method of the electrically controlled self-swinging cannon is more advanced, supporting remote control and linkage control with other fire-fighting equipment.
Components and functions of fire cannons
Fire cannons are mainly composed of the following parts:
Water supply system: including water source, fire water pump, high-level water tank or air pressure stabilizing device, water pump connector and pipeline, the purpose is to provide fast and sufficient water source.
Execution system: including fire extinguishing device, power supply device, automatic fire alarm device, etc., to perform fire extinguishing and alarm actions when a fire occurs.
Control system: including linkage control cabinet and regional control box, system power controller, computer fire (video) monitoring system, used to control water supply system and execution system, and realize various operations of manual, automatic, on-site and fire center.
Through the coordinated work of these components, fire monitors can effectively perform a series of actions from fire detection to fire extinguishing, and ensure the integrity of the fire alarm system.
